Fiona Gordon
Fiona Gordon est née en Australie, Dominique Abel dans une petite ville belge appelée Lobbes. Après leurs études (en théâtre pour Fiona Gordon, en économie pour Dominique Abel), ils étudient le théâtre et le mouvement avec Jacques Lecoq, Philippe Gaulier et Monika Pagneux à Paris. Dans les années 1980, ils ont créé plusieurs spectacles de théâtre physique qui ont fait le tour du monde et ont fondé leur propre compagnie, Courage Mon Amour. Ils ont fait leurs premiers pas dans le monde de la réalisation de films dans les années 1990 avec trois courts métrages, puis ont commencé à réaliser des longs métrages, la majorité du temps avec leur complice, Bruno Romy. «L’Étoile Filante» est leur cinquième long métrage.
Fiona Gordon was born in Australia in 1957, Dominique Abel in a small Belgian town called Lobbes the same year. After their studies (theatre for Gordon, economics for Abel) they studied theater and movement with Jacques Lecoq, Philippe Gaulier and Monika Pagneux in Paris. In the 1980s they created several physical theater shows that toured the world and founded their own company, Courage Mon Amour. They took their first film directing steps in the 1990s with three shorts, then began making features, often with their accomplice, Bruno Romy. L’Étoile Filanteis their fifth feature film.
